Please note: Every woman is different; every doctor is different; every woman's history is different.  It is difficult to review a woman's history and tell how she should be managed.  Many of the problems treated by the center have no clinical guidelines and require a tremendous amount of experience and clinical judgment (and sometimes even trial and error) to properly diagnose and treat.  Even when published guidelines exist, they need to be applied to the individual woman by her own doctor.  For example, if you ask: “My doctor did a colposcopy, found an area of abnormal cells and did a biopsy.  The biopsy showed mild dysplasia.  What should I do?"  The answer is: It depends.  Assuming that the doctor found the worst area and did a biopsy correctly and the biopsy showed mild dysplasia I can give you an answer.  But unfortunately, there may be circumstances specifically your case that would justify an alternative management.  It is even possible that the doctor did not biopsy the correct area and that another biopsy may give a different diagnosis.  If you live in the New York Metropolitan area, the best thing to do is make an appointment with Dr. Spitzer for him to review your case personally.  Dr. Spitzer’s purpose in this blog is to educate not to recommend a course of management.  Please carefully read the Legal disclaimer about medical information provided on the site.
