Genital Warts

Genital warts (condyloma) are small growths caused by the human papillomavirus (HPV) that are found on the genital skin (the vulva, vagina, cervix and around the anus in women or the penis, scrotum, and around the anus in men). Most warts are small and painless but they can spread and grow to look like small cauliflowers that can hurt, itch, bleed and become infected. Genital warts can be normal skin color or darkly pigmented. They can be soft and fleshy or hard.
