Studies with the Gardasil vaccine have shown that even in women with up to 6 lifetime partners, 73% have not been infected with any of the HPV types in the vaccine, 20% have been infected with only 1, 6% have been infected by 2 and 1.2% had been infected by 3. Only 1 in a thousand has been infected by all 4 HPV types in the vaccine. That means that 99.9% of women will get some or all of the benefit of the vaccine and should be vaccinated.
