Human papilloma virus (HPV)

Can I know from whom I got my HPV?

HPV is so common that it is impossible to know from who you got it. It is possible that you got it from your most recent partner or from a previous partner or both. Since there is no test available to find out if men have HPV most men would have no way of knowing that they are infected even if they had testing for sexually transmitted infections. In most relationships when both partners are infected it is impossible to tell whether you got HPV from your partner or you gave it to him.
